Cookie Policy

What is a cookie?

A "cookie" is a small text file stored on your device when you visit a website. The law (ePrivacy Directive / UK PECR / GDPR) requires us to inform you about cookies and ask for consent where cookies are not strictly necessary for the service you requested. "Local storage" works similarly and is covered by this policy.

1. First-party (Calccura) storage

NameTypePurposeDuration
theme-storageLocal storageRemembers your light/dark theme preference.Persistent (no expiry)

Necessary? The theme storage is functional and is not used for tracking. You can always delete it via your browser's "Clear storage" option.

2. Third-party cookies

Provider / cookiesPurposeDuration
Google AdSense cookies (id, CONSENT, NID, 1P_JAR, test_cookie, IDE, DSID, ANID, FLID, SOCS)Personalised and non-personalised advertising, frequency capping, conversion measurement, fraud detection and ad personalisation.Session / up to 2 years depending on cookie
Supabase (sb-access-token, sb-refresh-token)Keeps you signed in as an admin/blog user. Not set if you never sign up.Session / ~1 hour access + 1 year refresh
Google FontsBrowser-side font caching — these are set by browsers, not by Calccura.Browser cache (typically ~7 days)

Consent required? Yes — AdSense-related cookies are advertising / measurement cookies and require consent. You can manage this via your browser settings or the opt-out links below.

4. Do Not Track

Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" header. There is no single agreed standard on how sites should respond, so we currently follow the Google AdSense default behaviour: ads personalisation follows the user's Google Ads Settings described above.

5. Changes

We may update this policy as we add or remove providers. Check the date above.
